(Bad timing, crap, I know there was an inside joke about that, but I can't remember what from now...) Anyway, so apparently I chose a bad time to join the forum, since Nicky's jetting off to China... oh well. Here I am.
So! Greetings to you all! You'll know me as Lauren from the shoutbox, the one who sent in that ridiculous fanart.
Speaking of, I have to agree with shadow, the avatar size does suck (and I'm aware Nicky has nothing to do with it, so here I'm whining just to vent). Actually, I would go farther than just agreeing. I'd like to add that it doesn't just suck, but is completely sadistic. I am sure of this after resizing my desired images multiple times, to the amount it required, only to have it notify me that the other half of the requirements for sizing were not met. It's one of those computer programs of pure evil that you realize is just fucking with you to laugh at you. What I hate most about those is that they are invisible electronic forces, and therefore you cannot stab them repeatedly in revenge... Grrr, someday, avatar requirements program, someday. (For instance, I was going to use that Vince and Mandy picture you colored, Nicky, but enh, maybe someday I'll have the time to resize it accordingly.)
But back to me introducing myself Very Happy, yes I will still continue referring to myself as "Lauren" in the shoutbox. Why? Well, because it just kills all the mystery otherwise. Is it the Lauren who's Nicky's friend from SCAD, is it that other Lauren, or is it the other Lauren the other Lauren introduced to the comic in math class? See. The suspense is so much more fun.
I've now finished my first year in college, and of course I am a geek. (And a freak too! Mr. Green Obviously.) So yes I like stories in all their various presentations, and art and music and whatnot. (Apparently I have company in bookloving and being a theater junkie, I've read?) Also I'm working on a comic that, once the site is no longer embarassing or heck, I get a regular posting schedule, I will undoubtedly pull a shameless plug for.
And now for my origin story! It's like a superhero origin story except not! Because I know you're all dying to know how I stumbled upon Nicky's work... Rolling Eyes So some point last school year, my sister told me I needed to see this webcomic she read because this one girl on it really reminded her of me. It was Mundane Nirvana, and at first seeing Willow as the girl wearing flowy dresses, I couldn't understand where she got the resemblance... then she hid behind a couch with her sketchbook at a party. Which I do literally, sans the couch part. And I've been here ever since!
The end.

You just looooove confusing me, don't you L...M...err...whatever your name is.

Anyway...congrats on being a sophomore! Very Happy And of course, even bigger congratulations on being a geek, 'though we all knew that already...we don't serve their kind here, after all. Wink And you must tell me what your comic is! I promise not to post a link until you tell me I can! Puh-leeeeeeease? (They need a pouty-face/puppy-dog-eyes emoticon. Oh well, imagine one inserted right here, okay?) And nice origin. I never knew how many "Willows" there were in the world 'til I started the comic...be afraid, world, be afraid! You all thought one was scary, well, mwahahaha ladies and gents, mwahaha... Twisted Evil And yes, welcome to the forum that really does as much business conversing about books and musicals and so on as much as vampires...ha.

Time to go to work now, oops! Bye!

Heheheh yeesss, confusion spreads...
Why thank you. College actually wasn't so hard after AP classes. [gags] Bravo, Willow-types banding together! The world shall pay... Laughing mwahah--hmm. Wait. Cackling maniacally=incriminating. Hmm. Eh.
Heh, yeah, the comic... that I really should update... (poor unfinished strip. Waiting, patiently, unhappily...) K, I'll e-mail or lj it to you. (Though of course it will eventually be on lj anyway... eventually.)
